Day 1: Anticipate swelling, sensitivity, tenderness, redness, itching, and irritation.
Day 2: Skin will begin to settle, sensitivity will decrease. Skin may feel dry, tight, and itchy.
Day 3: Skin starts to flake and peel, with certain areas peeling sooner than others.
Day 4: Peeling continues, revealing a fresh layer of skin.
Days 5-7: You can resume washing your skin, but use gentle products. Ensure to follow provided aftercare instructions.
You may experience redness, rashes, purging, swelling, itching, dryness, darkening, sensitivity, and swollen glands. These are normal side effects post-herbal green peel treatment.
Consider taking antihistamine tablets and paracetamol or similar to alleviate itching and irritation.
To prepare for your peel, ensure you adhere to the following guidelines while avoiding any factors mentioned in the 'What could prevent my peel' section above:
Refrain from taking any antibiotics or similar medications.
Discontinue the use of active/harsh products for at least 7 days prior to treatment. This includes AHA’s, BHA’s, chemical exfoliants, retinol, etc.
If treating the face, wash your hair before the treatment, as the treated area must remain dry during the downtime period.
For men: trim your beards, but avoid shaving right before the treatment.
Any waxing, threading, shaving, laser, or similar procedures should be performed at least 7 days before the treatment.
If you've had dermal fillers or Botox, wait 4-6 weeks before scheduling your peel.
