Before Your Treatment – Please Follow These Guidelines:

General Guidelines (Both Treatments)

  • Avoid aggressive exfoliation (scrubs, peels, retinol, acids) for 3–5 days before your appointment.

  • Avoid sunburn or tanning for at least 48 hours prior.

  • Arrive with a clean face — remove makeup and heavy skincare products if possible.

  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.

  • Inform your therapist of any allergies, medications, or recent skin treatments.

Microneedling Specific:

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications, if possible, or consult your doctor (e.g., aspirin, some supplements).

  • Avoid waxing or chemical peels on the treatment area for at least 1 week.

  • Do not have microneedling done if you have active acne, cold sores, or skin infections.

Aftercare Guidelines:

HydraFacial Aftercare:

HydraFacial is gentle with minimal downtime, but following these tips will help maintain results:

  • Avoid heavy makeup for 24 hours

  • Keep skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer

  • Apply SPF 30+ daily to protect freshly treated skin

  • Avoid harsh exfoliants or aggressive treatments for 48 hours

  • Drink plenty of water to support hydration

Result: Skin will feel instantly smoother, plumper, and radiant, with effects lasting 3–7 days or longer with regular treatments.

Microneedling Aftercare:

Microneedling creates microchannels in the skin, so proper care is critical:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for 5–7 days

  • Apply gentle moisturizer and hydrating serums; avoid active ingredients like retinol or acids for 48–72 hours

  • No makeup for 24 hours

  • Avoid saunas, swimming pools, and heavy sweating for 48 hours

  • Cleanse skin with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser

  • Avoid exfoliation or harsh treatments for at least 7 days

  • Use SPF 30+ daily once healed

Result: Redness and slight swelling may occur for 24–48 hours. Collagen stimulation continues for weeks, improving skin texture, firmness, and glow over time.
